Located in a converted firehouse at 1455 W 29th St in Cleveland, Rising Star Coffee Roasters stands out as a vibrant coffee oasis. Patrons have lauded its cozy atmosphere and the warmth of the friendly baristas, creating a more social environment than a quiet study space. Customers like Brailey Simplican revel in the exceptional espresso, noting that the staff consistently enhances the overall experience.
The unique decor features Nordic minimalism, combining whites and natural woods, punctuated by lively art and hand-drawn prints. Nicholas Kafantaris praises the seasonal offerings, like the pumpkin-sage latte, asserting it rivals top coffee spots in LA and New York. Additionally, the availability of complimentary mineral water with their coffee adds a refreshing touch to the experience, as highlighted by Paul Khrab.
Despite a few oddities—like the bathroom location—visitors appreciate the store's cool vibe and outdoor seating in warmer months. Overall, Rising Star Coffee Roasters not only excels in its rich coffee offerings but also fosters a community where conversation and connection are just as vital as the brews served.

Maybe my favorite coffee shop in cleveland, rising star in general consistently makes damn good espresso but this location has my favorite staff. It's a little more of a "socialize with your friends and the friendly barista" setting then a "quiet study corner" setting (Lakewood and tremont locations are better for that) but it's a neat space in a revamped firehouse, within walking distance of some of my favorite spots in town, and the staff is great.

It’s a unique experience and great coffee. Friendly staff and cool stuff.however it was so interesting to see the bathroom is in the back wish is not the best thing and made it a little bit weird.

Cool space in an old converted fire station. Counter seating along two walls and a handful of tables for two inside. It’s nice to sit at a table outside in the summer.

Really good coffee there are a few local shops selling there beans, really great local roasted beans. The place is great and cozy, I really love that they give mineral water with coffee. Very great coffee. They also offer free wifi. Try some of the other drinks you won't be disappointed, that's for regular latte drinkers.

Well, I must say this is the BEST coffee in Cleveland - and up there with the best coffee in LA/NEW YORK! Especially delightful is the seasonal pumpkin-sage latte and the sage & seasalt bagel (both pictured). The decor is modern without being too cool, Nordic minimalism with uses of whites & natural woods- with the added warmth of art & hand-drawn prints on the walls. All in all- A experience!

It was my first time visiting this coffee shop, I’ve heard great things about their coffee and I was excited to try it. The staff recommended promised land latte, and he was not wrong! I really enjoy the flavor of the coffee and the barista did a great job with the latte art, it was simple but well received. The place is small and it’s not suitable for large group gathering, at least not during winter. They have some table outdoors for warmer times. They are usually pretty busy but the service run fast. There is not a garage parking, so for people who don’t like street parking, this might not be the location they want to try the coffee. The parking is not hard but is unpredictable if you can find a available spot depending on the time you are planning to visit.

Stopped by after trying the Roaming Biscuit across the street, and got to enjoy some time eat said food and sip on some nice iced drinks on a warm Sunday morning in Ohio City. The espresso machine (a little beauty for espresso machine afficionados) was down for repairs, but my wife and I pivoted easily to an iced coffee for her and an iced cold brew for me. Both were flavorful and strong, and the rest of the drink options were very intriguing for a future visit if we get in the area again. The interior itself has great and comfortable vibes, and you definitely get the feeling this a little gem for the area community. And the staff was friendly and talkative, so it had basically everything you'd want in a good coffee shop.

Excellent service and amazing coffee. I appreciate the pour over options, proper cortado, and single origins varietals.
